Hope4Creation - Season of Creation Workshop at St John’s

(Saturday 7th September, 9.30am-12.30pm)

All members of the Diocese of London are warmly invited to join Hope4Creation at a new workshop at St John’s Church, Notting Hill, as part of the Season of Creation.

The free 3-hour workshop will be hosted by H4C Founder Rev’d Canon Dr Charlotte Bannister-Parker in collaboration with St John’s. It will incorporate Charlotte’s doctoral research into the neuroscience of behavioural change, scriptural reasoning, eco-theology and practical advice to help attendees feel greater agency when dealing with the climate crisis.

At the workshop, leaders and congregation members from all churches within the Diocese of London will have the opportunity to learn how to take sustained action on climate change, whether you are actively working towards an Eco Church Award or you are completely new to ideas around creation care.

The Quiet Garden Movement

(Saturday 5th October 2024 10am-4pm)

The Quiet Garden Movement is a network of outdoor spaces and gardens spread across both rural and urban locations worldwide. These outdoor spaces are used for prayer, contemplation, stillness and rest for the spiritual, mental and physical well-being of individuals, groups and communities.

The Quiet Garden Movement is committed to, and inspired by, its Christian roots. However, those involved in the Movement come from a variety of traditions and cultures, and access to outdoor spaces and gardens is available to individuals and communities of all faiths and none. As such, the gardens are found in a variety of settings including private homes, churches, schools, hospitals, community gardens, prisons, retreat centres and woodland burial grounds.

Today we enjoy working with a global network of Quiet Gardens and are excited about our future growth!
