HISTORY OF ST JOHN’S

St John’s Church in Ladbroke Grove was completed in 1845 to designs by the architectural partnership of John Hargrave Stevens and George Alexander. It was listed grade II in April 1969, and is situated in the Royal London Borough of Kensington’s Ladbroke Grove Conservation Area.

INTERCULTURAL COMMUNITIES

Notting Hill has always been one of the most diverse communities in London- from our origin in 1845 until now. Currently the Church is home to 2 Diocesan Chaplaincies- The Filipino Chaplaincy and The Persian Chaplaincy.

MISSION PARTNERS

St John’s has three main Mission Partners - the Mathieson Music School Kolkata, Blessed Virgin Mary, Chambone, Mozambique, and CMS Mission Partners in South East Asia. The Filipino Chaplaincy has a new Mission Partner The IFI Kindergarten in New Washington Aklan.
