The Rev’d Canon Larry Galon

Larry is the Chaplain of the Filipino Chaplaincy for the Diocese of London and Assistant Priest at St John Notting Hill.

Fr Alan Trigle

I am a non-stipendiary priest, in other words the church pays me nothing and I have to earn a living. I do this by working as a freelance translator of financial and legal documents from German, French and Russian into English. My work is relatively flexible, so I can often fit in priestly activities around it during the working day as well as being at the altar every Sunday.

I was ordained deacon in 2015 and priest in 2017, starting my ministry in the Kensington Deanery at St Thomas Kensal Town, one of the most socially deprived parishes in the country, then at St Mary’s Cable Street in the East End. The past decade has been a period of great learning for me, as I have completed my pre- and post ordination training, gained experience in a range of parishes and contexts for varying lengths of time, and done an honours and a master’s degree in theology.

Outside of church I go to the opera, I cook and I read detective novels.

The Rev'd Canon Dr Charlotte Bannister-Parker

In January 2024, Revd Canon Dr Charlotte Bannister-Parker joined St John's Notting Hill from The University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford, where she has been a priest for nearly twenty years. She is the Founder of The Hope for Creation Foundation and has held leadership positions in various educational, inter-faith and environmental NGOs. She is delighted to join the St. Johns team and looks forward to getting to know the congregation and working in the wider community.

The Rev’d Daniella Fetuga-Joensuu

Daniella trained as an ordinand at St Mellitus college and took her MA in Theology and Politics at King’s College, London in 2017. She currently works for the Ministry of Justice in prison ministry, and prior to that served as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Bishop to Prisons in the House of Lords.

Daniella loves spending time with her husband and son and enjoys architecture, interior design, theatre, all things Wesleyan, choral singing (Parliament Choir), all forms of dance, theological lectures and audible books. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, she loves designing and the arts, particularly painting and drawing.

Daniella is delighted to serve now as Assistant Curate. She has a passion for seeing people respond to God’s calling on their lives and seeing the kingdom move forward through their released ministries. Her help is from God above, and she sees the world as her parish. - The “Best of all, God is with Us’.

CHURCHWARDEN

I was a licenced aircraft maintenance engineer with a major airline in the UK and now a Civil Servant. I grew up in a Christian home in Nigeria. My parents, who are now late were committed church members. My father was a chorister for over 40 years in an Anglican church and my mother was a Lay Reader (Licenced Lay Minister) also. I hold BEng Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, BSc Information Technology and Computing, and MSc Enterprise Systems and Data Warehousing degrees.

I am a keen golfer, and a lover of IT and technology, but sceptical about AI.

I am blessed with three amazing children and a lovely son in-law.

Johannes Dreyer

OFFICE MANAGER

Johannes is a keen cyclist who is happiest when he is somewhere in the Alps. He also likes a ‘braai’ (South African BBQ).

Serena Lancaster - Licenced Lay Minister

Now a widow, a marriage of some sixty years gave me four children and twelve grand children. I had to drop out of university to get married and so did not graduate until nearly fifty, choosing a combination of English and Theology. Previously I had taught, despite lack of qualifications, for seven years and also worked as a volunteer with the Probation Service. After training as a Reader, I then served as a LLM in a rural benefice with eight churches for thirty years. Coming to London has made it easier to keep abreast of the Art scene, modern Art having long been a particular interest.

Hannah Reeves - Lay Minister In Training

Hannah is currently training for Licensed Lay Ministry at St Mellitus College in Kensington, a part time course which she combines with her other work as a professional cellist and, most importantly, mum to two young children. Her various roles at St John’s include Junior Church leader and Baptism visitor, and she regularly serves on the altar team. She is a lover of books, fine wines, and long country walks. Her Alma Mater is Royal Holloway, University of London, where she completed a master’s degree in music in 2003.

Anna Dominey - Development and Social Media Officer

Anna has taken over from Emily Keeling-Morgan as Development and Social Media Officer, responsible for the administration of the Light on the Hill Appeal and our online presence. Anna joins us part-time from Hope4Creation where she is the Administration Lead. She has worked for various charities and community organisations since graduating from Worcester College, Oxford with a degree in Theology.
